Marco Riccelli combines solo and ensemble pianistic activities. As a founding member of the Ensemble BlauerReiter (Munich, Germany) he regularly performs modern and contemporary repertoire. His interest in contemporary music began during his studies at the Conservatory of Music of Milan where he attended a course of “Contemporary music practice” with Daniele Lombardi.
He graduated from the Conservatory of Milan under the guidance of Paolo Bordoni, Marco Riccelli has performed concerts in Italy, Switzerland, Austria and Germany.
In 2010 he performed under the baton of Yoichi Sugiyama, “Music for piano and Chamber orchestra” by Alfred Schnittke at the “Teatro alla Scala” in Milan, and in 2012, “Islands” of Luca Francesconi with Marco Angius also at the “Teatro alla Scala”. With Lorenzo Gentili Tedeschi he performed the “Kammerkonzert” of Alban Berg at “Palazzo del Quirinale” in Rome (broadcast by Radiotre of Italian Radio).
Marco Riccelli is active as pianist in his native Italy; in Switzerland, where he works regularly at “Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana” and with the “Orchestra della Svizzera italiana”, and in Germany, where he performs with Ensemble BlauerReiter and in duo with the German soprano Anna Karmasin.
